It has been a while since I have posted on here. Austin has his appointment at Stanford on Monday the 16th. He hasn’t been seen in 2 months, which is the longest we have ever gone without an appointment. I am hoping that it all goes well and that Austin will weigh around 18 pounds (he was 17 lb 8 oz a couple days before Thanksgiving).
I think the biggest issues we will be tackling at Austin’s next clinic appointment is stuff with Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and now California Children’s Services (CCS) with his social worker. We have been denied SSI two times already and by appealing yet again, there will now be an official hearing to go over all the evidence and what not.
Today, we got a letter from CCS saying that they were denying/canceling the vest service that Austin has had for almost 3 months already! You would think the stupid assholes would have just initially denied it, but noooooo, they had to wait this long. I don’t understand why they are all of a sudden changing their minds.
I am sincerely pissed off. All these stupid insurance companies and government programs sure do know how to make our lives much more difficult than they already are.
I will try to update this blog on Monday after Austin’s appointment.
